ATTENTION: Online Master’s Student BuzzCard Pause

Physical BuzzCard production and distribution are temporarily paused for all Online Master’s program students until the Fall 2026 semester. Please review the critical action deadlines and shipping updates detailed below before uploading photos or adding funds.

Do not submit ID photos or deposit account funds after April 1, 2026.

Domestic Students (US only): Card printing is paused and will resume on September 1, 2026.
International Students: The BuzzCard interest form opens on August 1, 2026. You may submit a request by filling out the form and once approved, cards will be shipped in Mid-October 2026.

On-Campus Students

After you have confirmed your acceptance to Georgia Tech, you are eligible to receive a BuzzCard. Just follow this simple setup process to obtain your new BuzzCard.

Online Students

Georgia Tech Online Master’s and remote students are eligible to receive an official physical or digital BuzzCard. Please review how to request a card below.

How to Request Your Card as an Online Student

Domestic Online Students (U.S. only)

Card production is currently paused and officially resumes on September 1, 2026. Do not deposit account funds before this date.

Submit Your Photo: Access the online photo submission portal to upload your BuzzCard ID photo. Wait for the official approval email (takes 2–3 business days). How to submit a photo. (links to online photo submission page)
Submit Shipping Request: Once your photo is approved, complete the Domestic Shipping Request Form to request delivery to your home address. Select Online Masters Program on the ‘type of request’ drop down, and include the mailing address in your request. (links to BuzzCard Center )
Fees: To have a BuzzCard shipped to you, you will first need to make a non-refundable deposit of $20 to the BuzzCard eAccount Web Portal. After your request has been received, the $20 uploaded to your BuzzCard eAccount Web Portal will be deducted and your BuzzCard will be shipped to you. You will receive a non-chip BuzzCard with the “Student-O” designation. If you visit in person, you may swap your current card for a chip card with on-campus access for $5.

International Online Students (Outside U.S.)

Complete the Interest Survey: First, fill out the following survey. We will ship International Online Students BuzzCard twice per year, in September and February. (Need updated survey/form content – it’s outdated content: https://gatech.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3lNVADfuMxxg8VU) (7/9 Alison said they’ll get a new form/survey made)
Submit Your Photo: Access the online photo submission portal to upload your BuzzCard ID photo. Wait for the official approval email (takes 2–3 business days). How to submit a photo. (links to online photo submission page)
Fees: To have a BuzzCard shipped to you, you will first need to make a non-refundable deposit of $30 to the Buzz Card eAccount Web Portal. After your request has been received, the $30 uploaded to your BuzzCard eAccount Web Portal will be deducted and your BuzzCard will be shipped to you. Please note shipping for international cards takes approximately two months to arrive at your destination. You will receive a non-chip BuzzCard with the “Student-O” designation. If you visit in person, you may swap your current card for a chip card with on-campus access for $5. To avoid delays, please check that the required fee has been successfully deposited to your BuzzCard Funds. PFP funds may not be used to purchase a BuzzCard.
Shipping: To coordinate customs and international postage safely, all verified international cards are printed in a single batch and shipped in Mid-October 2026.
